Ok, this is it: Day 1 of the One Good Turn effort.
Here’s a brief overview of what it’s all about: Doing something, no matter how big or small, every day, to make life on Earth a little better (for more, see the About page). I’ve got a list of things with which to get started, but hope to get lots of good suggestions from others along the way as well. I’ll share the experiences here, and hopefully sometimes I’ll have fun stuff like pictures too. When appropriate, I’ll link to relevant information sources or other related people and places on the web.
Today’s good turn: Inviting an old friend (or friends) to have dinner.
In my case, it was actually two friends–guys I used to live with many years ago, but don’t see that often anymore. They don’t live that far away, but somehow it seems we see each other less and less. It wasn’t anything unusual or extraordinary. We just met up after work for a dinner at a local restaurant, sat outdoors on a perfect summer evening, and caught up on things. It was unremarkable and highly enjoyable, at the same time.
